Summer Yard Sale

As an aspiring designer, I find it heartening to see other creative-types emerging from their studios and actively creating opportunities to engage the wider public. In Krakow, they seem to be doing a great job of it. Similar to Targi Dizajnu, which I posted about a little while back, Yard Sale Cracow is organized 4 times a year by local artists to show and sell the fruits of their labor amidst a laid-back atmosphere complete with music, food and drinks.

This year's summer edition of Yard Sale Cracow was held in the outdoor courtyard of Betel Klub. Thanks to facebook, I did a better job identifying all the artists whose work is pictured, so you can check out their online stores too.

  1. Hi Justyna!
Looking at how close u are to art, I guess u might help me. I live in Krakow now and would like to take courses on design computer programs (Adobe family). I know, it's a bit far from handcraft that you show in this post, but anyway u look like a person who might know the right place. Could u please advice some good one in Krakow to study design programs from 0?
    Thank you in advance!

  2. Hi Lena!
I personally haven't taken any such courses in Krakow, though I know a bit more about longer-term comprehensive studies if that's something you're considering...

My preference is learning Adobe from free online tutorials, like via youtube, which I would recommend especially if you want to learn in English. Another option is finding an English-speaking tutor, for example through

I'm not familiar with any local courses in English, though it's worth a google search.

If you speak Polish, these are some schools that offer intensive or two-semester courses:

    I hope that helps!
